艾米莉·勃朗特(1818～1848年)，英國小說家，著名女詩人。與其姐妹夏洛蒂·勃朗特、安·勃朗特被人稱為“勃朗特三姊妹”，馳名于19世紀(jì)的英國文壇。三姊妹出生于貧苦的牧師家庭，在寄宿制學(xué)校長大。1837年，艾米莉·勃朗特在鄉(xiāng)村學(xué)校任教，因肺病離世，年僅30歲。她的作品富于哲理及神秘色彩，格調(diào)清新，節(jié)奏鏗鏘。長篇小說《呼嘯山莊》是她一生唯一的一部小說作品，奠定了她在英國文學(xué)史上的地位。 改編者簡介：薄荷閱讀編輯團(tuán)隊(duì)，由國內(nèi)外專業(yè)英語編輯及二語習(xí)得專家組成，已出版改編著作50多部，深受廣大英語學(xué)習(xí)愛好者的喜愛。
